Neela Danerjee, No Power, No Rebirth In Iraqi Business. New York Times,
May 25, 2003.
This source is a summary of how the lack of electricity has affected the country. The businesses cannot stay open with sporadic electricity, therefore the workers are being laid off and are unable to provide necessitates for their families. I am using this information with my paper to support my idea's that without basic needs restored such as electricity, the Iraqi people are in worse shape since the occupation began.
Garfield, Martone, Stubenrauch. Iraq’s People Between the Wars.
American Journal of Nursing, Vol. 103, No. 5, May, 2003.
This sources shares information about the World Health Organizations view and reaction to the situation in Iraq in 2003. It speaks about economic sanctions, poverty, food shortages, inexperience in treating diarrhea diseases and government policies that discourage breastfeeding. I will use this information to support my argument that with the occupation, people living in Iraq are suffering and dying from many preventable conditions and diseases.
